The laboratory is situated in the building of the Institute of Physics, Park Angelinum 9, Košice.
Laboratory of electrical transport measurements is equipped to perform precision electrical resistance measurements
in the range of resistance from nano-Ohms to giga-Ohms. The Laboratory also contains instrumentation to perform tunnelling spectroscopy studies.
Laboratory of electrical transport measurements is focused on studies of electrical transport properties of solids in temperature range 1.8 ̶ 300 K.
Electrical resistance measurements of materials or structures are possible in the range from nano-Ohms to giga-Ohms, what covers range more than
18 orders of magnitude of resistance measurement. This enables studies of wide spectrum of materials, e.g. superconductors, metallic systems,
semiconductors, and many systems in the vicinity of the metal-to-insulator transition. Because of high modularity of instrument equipment used
for resistance measurements, these methods can be easily used in combination with various commercial cryo-magnetic systems, including PPMS; the
later possibility extends electrical resistance studies to temperature range 0.3 ̶ 300 K, and magnetic fields up to 9 Tesla.
